Privacy Policy

Glance ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using Glance, you agree to this policy.

1. What We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We store this in Supabase, our authentication and database provider.

Screen captures. When you trigger Glance with your shortcut key, your screen is captured as a PNG image on your device and sent to OpenAI's API for analysis. We do not store these images on our servers — they are transmitted directly to OpenAI and discarded after a response is returned.

Usage data. We track how many analyses you have performed today and in total (for free trial tracking). We do not track what was on your screen or what questions you asked.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. We receive a Stripe Customer ID and subscription status from Stripe's servers.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to: provide and improve the Glance service; enforce usage limits on your plan; send transactional emails (e.g., account confirmation); process your subscription and handle billing events. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Screen Capture Privacy

Screen captures are processed in real-time and never stored on Glance's servers. Images are sent over HTTPS directly to OpenAI's API. OpenAI's data handling is governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy. Glance panels are hidden from screen recording and screen sharing — no other application can capture what Glance displays.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services: Supabase (authentication and database), Stripe (payment processing), OpenAI (AI analysis of screen captures), Heroku (server hosting). Each provider operates under their own privacy policy and data protection practices.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is deleted within 30 days. Usage counters (daily analyses, trial count) are anonymized and may be retained for aggregate analytics.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may request a copy of your data or request deletion by emailing support@glance-ai.tech. If you are in the EU, you have additional rights under the GDPR.

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication (Supabase session tokens stored in localStorage). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

Glance is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Glance after changes constitutes acceptance.
